First mountain bike ride and dinner with Stella

Getting Strapped in.
We finally got Kade a good bike seat and ventured out for a little mountain bike ride in Poly Canyon this weekend. Kade seemed to really enjoy himself. I think his favorite part was ringing Dad's bike bell. And going fast! After our bike ride baby cousin Stella came for dinner. Kade was LOVING her. Bit her toe too...He wasn't too sure what to think about his ability to make her cry. Poor stella. up:(

And we are ready....I should say here..just so my bike skills are known, Paul kicked my behind.....with the kid on the front...I happily rode behind them...listening to Kade chat and ring the bell. The best.

Baby Stella 5 months, and so darn cute!

Kade so curious about Stella. He pulled on her, did give her a kiss..but mostly poked and pulled...Oh Kade....

Summertime+Family=the best time.

I am pretty sure I have a good hundred photos I could post here...but I don't think they would all fit. I really did love summer this year. I got to see my parents for a whole month,  all my sisters and brother, my nieces and nephews and Kade's great grandma Nana. It was a summer full of family and some seriously good laughs and fun times.

A little trip to Carmel

Paul, Kade and I decided to get away for a few days. And we decided on a little trip to Carmel, down the coast, on the 1. It was a wonderful 3 days of having no obligations and playing with Kade. Other than loosing my phone and one of Kades shoe ( which should be coming in the mail soon. Thank you hiker for returning it.) the trip was a success. Kade was an awesome sleeper and napper in the hotel and on hikes, lovely at the restaurants, (thank you lady and guy at park for all your suggestions.) Always nice to hang out with my dear boys. With the exception of Odus, who was being taken care of by my parents at home. Thanks mom and dad for keeping Odus company. Here is the trip via pictures.
Silly Dad...swing with me, please.

Awwww....

Breakfast in the hotel room. Mostly ended up on the mirror. Sorry housecleaning.

Our beautiful walk around Point Lobos Park. Highly recommend this park and doing the 6 mile perimeter loop.

Stopped in to check out Earthbound Farms on the way through Carmel Valley. ( the farm  that makes all those lettuce mixes).

Hiking through Garland Regional Park. Beautiful views and nice shady paths to hike on.

Yay!!!!

A little siesta....

and more siesta-ing

Snack time.

Bye to Carmel Valley. We will come back and visit soon. We had a nice time for sure.
